Whenever I go anywhere I can’t help but to checkout everyone’s footwear. I find myself scouring the ground looking like I’ve dropped something and lucky not to walk into anything or anyone. As of late, not a day goes by where I don’t see a magnitude of wedges.  These 70’s inspired beauties are everywhere, low or high, platform or single sole, open or closed. Wedges are a trend ready to shoot sky-high and each girls needs to contemplate whether or not there’s an opening in their shoe collection.

I will say with great confidence that Wedges are only at the beginning of their life cycle and will be popping up everywhere this Spring/Summer. Without fail there will be girls towering at the up-coming Melbourne Cup races in these gems styled with a full-length maxi,  and why not? This construction provides a greater area of balance and support along the sole by evenly distributing your weight and not relying on defined pressure points, such as a stiletto heel. Thus, wedges are ultra comfy! And the higher the platform the less levitation from the ball of your foot to your heel, reducing that shooting pain that hits the ball of your foot with every step after a long day at the races (you all know what I mean, except for those very intelligent ladies who wear flats, but really how can you go past a killer heel).  A versatile style that gives a desired amount of height and is comfortable, what a dream!
