We are very excited to have our guest blogger of the week, Lucy Rosenberg – Stylist, show you how to work this season’s latest trends and style it to perfection. Thank you Lucy for your hints and helping us to get inspired and get colour blocking!

How to wear 2011’s biggest fashion trend – colour blocking!
We can’t remember a season where fashion has wrapped its arms around colour like it has now! This year’s catwalks were flooded with colour, from sharp fluros to citrus hues, with a minimalist silhouette. And with no surprise it’s making its way to the high street.
So are you feeling brave and adventurous? Contrast and combine your bright coloured garments with muted and subtle accessories. Or be loud and proud by uniting brights with black to create a sharp, edgy and fashion forward look.
Getting this look is simple. Just follow these rules and you’re on your way to becoming the next big fashionista!
1. Colour combinations must be right and thought out to nail this fashion trend.
Clash clash clash! (In a good way of course) Colours that I think work well together are pink and purple, orange and blue, red and pink and cobalt blue and red.
For a night out match brights with Wittner’s very stylish ‘Lotti’ or ‘Hottie’ which will turn heads and is the perfect accompaniment to this season’s trend. To finish off this look, add the ‘Kade’ clutch, which lifts the outfit and gives it some texture.
For a casual daytime look, opt for Wittner’s casual brogue-esq ‘Balbot’ shoe. With the right amount of shine, this shoe will just elevate your outfit perfectly!
However, for those of you who j’adore this trend and would much rather touch on the trend rather than leap into it – go for the subtle neutral accessories in a camel or flesh. The flesh patent ‘amber’ pump is simply perfect!

2. The brighter the better.
You are either all in or not at all. The brighter the shade the better! No half asked pastel shades my friend.
3. Avoid looking like you’ve just stepped out of an 80’s disco!
Choose rich fabrics, such as silk or mix it up and combine two different fabric textures to add a splash of luxury and create a sense of depth to your outfit.
4. Too much for you? Simply tone down the look.
Instead of wearing this trend from head to toe and having to buy a completely new wardrobe, another way of adopting the colour-blocking trend is by using your existing pieces! Choose items which are preferably minimal in style and colour, but will add a touch of eye popping colour. For example, team a black dress with bright orange socks or tights and add a fierce blue belt. You can even brighten up a neutral coloured dress with a fierce and fiery red shoe. The perfect example is Wittner’s ‘Quincey’ heel! Or simply a white tee can be the answer! Mix a vivid pair of coloured jeans with a basic white tee and that’s it! Trend accomplished.

This is a newfound optimism and confidence, so it’s time to paint the town in all colours possible!
