As the weather warms up, it’s time to prepare for the social event of the season – the Spring Racing Carnival. Spring Racing is just as much about the fashion as it is about having a flutter, and with each key race day marked with a different dress code it can be tricky to know exactly what to wear.

Start with our style guide to four key days and get ready for a fun and fashionable day at the races.

Caulfield Cup

Caulfield Cup is the day to opt for bold colours and accessories as it’s all about fun track side glamour. Being fashion forward is key, but year after year florals always take centre stage. When building your race day outfit, start with the shoes. Our pick is the Avar Heel, a bold and playful statement with its hand-crafted leather flowers, or the Iyla Heel for the ultimate floral couture moment. Add the Laurentina Clutch in Baby Pink to complete the look.

Derby Day

Derby Day’s dress code demands your best black and white combination from head to toe, so it’s the perfect time to create monochrome magic. For Derby Day, a classic pump makes for the ultimate in ladylike glamour, while a modern sandal with a block heel is perfect for combatting grass in style. Our top picks? The Humming Pump for a polished sohpistication, or the Delphy Slide for an edgier vibe.

Melbourne Cup

The dress code for the main event is a bit more playful, encouraging you to experiment and have fun with pops of colour and statement accessories. Bring some fun to your footwear with this season’s must have metallic hue – Rose gold. To inject a pop of colour and personality to your trackside style, we recommend the Rozalia Heel and the Delphy Slide. Not only are these sandals beautiful to look at, but a block heel will also ensure all day comfort – a race day essential!

Oaks Day

Otherwise known as Ladies’ Day, the dress code for Oaks Day is particularly feminine – think A-line dresses, lace detailing, and full skirts. Bring this femininity to your footwear with the stunning Hayleigh Pump, featuring lace-filled cut outs and a scalloped edge for effortless sophistication. Alternatively, add a modern twist to your look with the Heron Pump, featuring a unique woven texture and chic stiletto heel.
